ENGINEER YOUR LIFE
The purpose of this project is to take control of our immediate environment. We began with examining aspects of our living environment that we and our co-inhabitants use daily and determined how we could improve them.
Due to the restrictions of distance learning, this project focused on using improvised materials and simple tools. Going back to drawing inspiration from our environment, we used common materials like cardboard, paperclips, and rubberbands for this project. For the final product, students were allowed to use any material but scavenging for improvised materials were encouraged. By the end of this project, each student engineered a solution for a problem that affects them or someone they live with. A requirement for this project is that everyone had to make something that can be tested or experienced by yourself and others. Each student made a "One-Pager" to summarize their project and a slide deck that documents the design process. My example is to the right and the student's work is below. |
